Coach Erin

Hey Otters! My name is Erin Conroy, and I am very excited to be returning as the head coach of the team. I started swimming for the Otters when I was seven and swam for the team until I graduated high school in 2017. I love still being involved with the team and community through coaching. Along with coaching, this summer I will also be offering private swim lessons, so feel free to reach out to me if you are interested!
This school year, I finished up my junior year at UNC Charlotte’s School of Nursing. I am hoping to specialize in neonatal or maternity after I graduate. While I was at school, I enjoyed being a member of the school’s club swim team and had the opportunity to compete at club swimming nationals in Greensboro, NC. I also enjoyed getting involved on campus at UNCC, as well as volunteering through the nursing school. As the school year comes to an end, I am very excited to be coming home for the summer and am looking forward to another great swim season! Go Otters!

Coach Will

Hey Otters! My name is Will Scudder and I am pumped to be coming back for my 4th season coaching for Olive Chapel! I joined the Otters in 2006 and swam on the team for 13 years. I also swam on the Varsity Swim Team at Apex Friendship High School all throughout my high school career, while being a captain for the team as well. I am currently a rising sophomore at NC State University, where I am a member of their club swim team. Although I have different levels of swimming experience, swimming for the Otters has definitely been my favorite of them all! As a coach, I love seeing all the swimmers have fun over the summer as they improve, and my hope for this season is that the whole team has a blast! I am super outgoing and oftentimes loud, so if you are in need of getting pumped up to swim, come find me! Go Otters!
Coach Ryan

What’s up Otters!! My name is Ryan Wahlers, and I began swimming with the Otters when I was seven years old, making this my 13th summer on the team. Currently I’m a rising sophomore at NC State University and swam year-round for nearly eight years, six with the TAC Titans. I swam on the GRACE Christian Varsity swim team for all four years of high school, including a state championship win in 2017. I hope to bring my experience and passion for swimming to help everyone have fun and achieve our goals in and out of the water! I can't wait to have another great season this summer. Go Otters!!!
Assistant Coach Amber

Hey, Otters! I’m Amber, and I started swimming on the Otters 7 years ago when my family first moved to Apex. I have always loved the summer swim team because it gave me community in our new home and I’ve looked forward to it every year since! Working with kids is a passion of mine, and my experience with babysitting, year round swimming and swim lessons has helped me live out that passion. In years past, I have helped the coaches with practices, then became a part time coach last summer and am looking forward to a great season with the Otter Pups this year! I hope to help other swimmers build their skills and make fun memories with the team like I have! Go Otters!
Assistant Coach Kevin

- Hey everyone! I’m coach Kevin and I am very excited to be coming back for my second year as a coach for the Otters! I just finished my Sophomore year at NC State, where I am studying Statistics and Computer Science. I also competed on the club swim team and participated in the Club Swimming National Championship Meet. Swimming has always been a significant part of my life, as I swam year-round from the age 7-12, and have always enjoyed watching and following competitive swimming. After 14 seasons on the Otters, this will be my first year not competing, but I am grateful for the opportunity to still be able to help out the team. I can’t wait for some fun, fast swimming this year! Go Otters!
